A Friend once asked me for a Natural Dreadlock shampoo recipe, and It's so easy! Unlike other hair types, or undreaded hair, some natural shampoos consist of Water, Baking soda, and followed by A Vinegar Rinse; But, as Dreadlocks become dried out at a faster rate, you want to lock in as much moisture and natural oil as possible.
Simple Dreadlock shampoo:
1/4 C water
3/4 C Pure Castile Soap
4 Tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
Essential Oils, (Optional)
Pour the mixture into a spray bottle, and spray it onto the hair while in the shower. You can leave it in for three minutes before rinsing well. The best part of creating your own natural products, aside from knowing exactly what you're using on your body, is that you can modify any recipe to meet any individual need you might have!

Normal to greasy hairtypes:
Baking Soda+Vinegar rinse:
1 T Baking Soda, per cup of water ratio
1/8 C Vinegar per Cup Water ratio
1 tsp Honey
Essential oils, (Optional)
Add baking soda to water and rinse hair, then follow with vinegar-Honey rinse.
Here's a PH Level scale to go by. Not following the baking soda ratio could seriously damage your hair!
(Tip: For extra hydration-lock, spray dampened hair with Coconut water, then style as normal)

Natural Conditioners: Here are 3!
Coconut-Honey Orange Blossom Conditioner:
4 T Pure Organic coconut oil
2 T Pure Organic Honey
5-10 Drops Orange Blossom Essential Oil
Combine ingredients until smooth and creamy, then spread throughout hair, leave in for 3 minutes, then rinse.

Sesame Seed and Aloe Conditioner:
2 T Sesame Seed Oil
2 T Aloe Vera gel
1 C unflavored Yogurt
1 T Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Combine all ingredients, leave in for one hour, then rinse with a light Lemon Water mixture. (1/8 C Lemon Juice to 1 C water ratio)

Peppermint Black Tea Conditioner:
1/8 C peppermint leaves
2 T Loose-Leaf Black tea
3 C Water
5 drops peppermint essential oil
5 drops chamomile essential oil
Rip mint leaves, then bring them to a boil in 2 of the 3 cups of water. Bring to a boil the remaining cup of water and black tea. Strain the liquids then combine them, and allow to cool before adding essential oils. Rinse your hair with the liquid.
(Optional leave-in rinse: after innitial rinse, Use a spray bottle to lightly coat dampened hair)
